Illia Fairchild is twelve-and-a-half years old. He likes to draw, build forts and is incredibly nervous around girls. But most of the time, he fantasizes about far-off lands filled with brave knights, enchanting wizards and swashbuckling pirates. Illia doesn't know it yet, but his world of fantasy is about to become more real to life than he could ever imagine. For centuries a war has been secretly fought between the terrifying Daemon and the righteous Seraphim. Each is scouring the world for a human prophesied to end the ancient war once and for all. Inspired by "The Tell-Tale Heart" by Edgar Allan Poe. A mysterious character narrates a strange tale about taking care of his sister, who was critically injured in an accident that killed their parents. The narrator loves his sister, but loathes a mark left by the accident: her horrible deformed eye. He insists he isn't mad, despite the fact he decided to murder his sister because of that simple fact, by explaining the precautions he took to ensure he could safely do away with her and get away with it. However, he is driven to a raving confession in front of two cops by her beating heart.

This is a film about Plato's ideas. It is about Stanley who meets his reflection in a field. The two begin a dialogue in the tradition of Socrates and his pupils. The reflection proves the wiser and though Stanley believes himself to be the 'real' Stanley, and Stanley Too the reflection, he gradually discovers this is not the case.

Jenny, Amanda, and Scott are painting a mural on a wall in their school's playground. Suddenly, the dragon in the mural winks at them and begins to come alive. The dragon invites them into the mural and the children enter to discover a land called Pelamar. Gorwen the dragon tells them that the land is dying because its lifeforce, the Veetacore, broke apart. The pieces were collected by the Keepers, but they aren't sure how to put them back together. The kids agree to try and figure out how to fix the Veetacore, which leads them on a journey through Pelamar.

The film is about relations between different people.

After the death of his wife a lonely forester meets a witch, who puts a spell on him.

While Eva Magnus and her daughter, Jenny, are taking a walk, they discover a dead body floating along the riverside. Eva runs to the nearest phone booth and pretends to call the police. Then she leaves the body for someone else to find. Why? Konrad Sejer, the police officer investigating the case, links it to another unsolved murder of a woman killed in her bed. A woman that used to be a childhood friend of Eva Magnus.

The stories of three women: a researcher, a prostitute and a part-time switchboard operator.
